Cities

Most cities will start with 1-4 elites, 1-2 corporations, and 1 college.

Some cities may start with additional corporations or without a college.

Elites

Elites are players who represent influential players in the political and economic world. In many cases, these players use land, labor, and stocks to advance their agendas.

Elites will start the game with a combination of real estate, labor, money, and a small amount stocks.

Elites are generally more interested in politics than other players, although their personal agendas may focus on a city or college. Unlike other players, elites' homes may change throughout the game due due to policy cards.

Executives

Executives are players who work for the large corporations. In many cases, these players will buy land and labor to produce products. In turn, executives will sell products to cities and colleges hoping to achieve various milestones.

Corporations will start the game with a tableau of business processes that can convert labor and resources into products. In some cases, corporations will buy and develop real estate to create more efficient business processes. Executives will start the game with resources, several shares of stock in their corporation which may be sold.

Note: if another player holds a majority share of stock in a business, then they can set new goals for executives midgame.

Most corporations will start with 1-2 executives.

Scholars

Scholars are players who work for colleges. In many cases, these players will use money and their university buildings to improve students, perform research, and sell research to other players.

Colleges will start the game with money, several student cards, and a tableau of university buildings that can be used to teach students.

Scholars are generally more interested in college prestige and research, although personal agendas may focus on a political goal or improving a city. In extreme cases, colleges may be able to steal scholars from another college.

Most colleges will start with 1-3 scholars.

Culture Players

Cultural Players are represent various cultural institutions. In many cases, these players attempt to trade special cards with elites, executives, and scholars for resources.

Culture players range from professional sports organizations that want to place their teams in cities to religious institutions that can exchange blessings for indulgences.

Most cultural groups will start with 1-2 players.

Media

Media players are in charge of collecting and communicating what is going on in the game to players.

Media players will start the game with a notepad and pen, along with two minutes of airtime at regular intervals throughout the game. News coverage (and opinions expressed) may positively impact corporations, cities, and colleges.
